I stumbled upon your blog and I am glad that I did. I have wanted to crochet for several years but never had the time and now a few years into my forties -- I'm ready and don't know where to start. I don't know anything about the process at all. Can you give me some sound counsel on how to begin? I'd appreciate it.
Just to be clear, the cover design is not mine, but the referenced article to the Twin Cities is. The sweater is yet another fabulous creation by Julia Vaconsin.
Lisa, will be happy to enable your crochet efforts. Will put together a resource list ASAP, but in the meantime, check out the Nexstitch website. GREAT videos and tutorials.
i braved the snow to the local market and bought a copy. your article is great! i even went online to shop at your recommendation. thanks for the great info and new sites to "see."
A place to be publicly accountable for my um, er, ugh, AHHHHHHHHHH, compulsive crochet habits. OK, I said it. It's out and now we can get on with it. Kids, dogs and life in general may also at times make an appearance. And now there's knitting and spinning too...way too much fiber work, way too little housecleaning. If I disappear for too long, come running with the dustbuster. The bunnies will have likely taken me hostage.

Shocked, just shocked to find myself somewhere in my 30s as full time caretaker of 3 little people, 2 English bulldogs and 1 husband.
